Spirt Day 5: Color Wars

Sigh. Today I woke up with a sore throat. Everything only got worse from there. (For the most part.) After school I had a drive, but all I really wanted to do was go home and sleep. Well I went on my drive, and UHG! I had to parallel park like five times, and back around a corner like four. I pretty much suck, I don't know. Anyway, so my mom picked me up and when we got home I went straight into my room and fell asleep. I slept right through the Homecoming game. (Turns out to be a good thing, it was pouring down rain and there was like a 30minute delay. Plus lightening. We won though!) So yeah, that was my Friday night.

Sprit Day 3: Super Hero/ Villan

Why So Serious? Haha. Started the lovely dot last night. Doesn't exactly fit into my week. See today I'm wore super tight skinny jeans, and I had an hour long drive. School went fine, except I got a ton of homework, and skinny jeans aren't exactly the easiest thing to take on and off. Anyway at lunch I ruined something for Josh, and he got all upset with me. So then after school he was a little frazzled.. Anyway he asked me to Homecoming and gave me roses. (First boy, besides my dad, who doesn't count, to give my flowers.) It made me so happy, like everything that happened during the day just disappeared. Of course I looked like this though. Well whatever. I went to drivers' ed, and they all had to ask what the occasion was. Sigh, and I had to wait an hour for my drive. Anyway my drive was supper fun. I didn't drive with Willie, which I didn't think I'd like, but I was so much more relaxed. The guy turned on the radio and just told me were to go and let me be. We went over to NE, haha that was fun. I was scared about going the freeway, but it wasn't bad at all. And the curves, haha, those were fun. I got to go down McMurrey hill too! Sweet. Haha. So we got back and there wasn't any parking in front of the building, so my instructor had me drive around the block, thinking something would open up, and nothing did. So I got an easier parking job, under the Harvester. The funny thing is, I totally forgot about my face, until I saw my reflection. I was like "great, how many people were looking at me funny?" Anyway, the guy said I had a PERFECT drive, which made me feel really good. Then my parent's picked me up. Yes, both of them. They told me we were going out to dinner. (I totally forgot it was the anniversary of their first date.) So we went to Famous Dave's. Omg. One of the guys who worked there came over and was asking me about why I looked the way I did. He thought I was "special" or something. Sigh. We got home at 9p.m. Yeah, I thought getting home at 7 was going to be bad.. :/

Homework.

So today was our first YLC meeting, and by our I mean Stadium's. Anyway so after coming home from there, I had an essay to finish.. Or maybe I just had to work on it. (Writing this a week plus later doesn't really work.) Well anyway, thats that.

So today I went to the mall with Alex, aka my "twin". I bought myself 4 pairs of bows at Hot Topic, Alex a pair of earrings at Fuego, and helped her pay for a ring. Besides that, we both tried on corsets, and we just walked around. After shopping we went to her house. That was.. eh, boring. She was supposed to have a meeting with her band, and I was just gonna spectate, but we all ended up just kinda sitting around. An up side though would be that I got to spend more time with her and see an old friend, Brandon. (No Josh, not from California.)

So today I had to go to Josh's house after school again. It's gonna take a while for my dad to get back in the habbit of picking me up. Anyway.. Josh's mom picked him up before I could get picked up, so while I was waiting I took some goofy pictures.

First day of school.

I think the title is pretty self explanatory. Haha, but anyway. Today was the first day of school. All my classes seem cool. I'm not sure how first period chem. is gonna go. Gah I have to climb up to the 4th floor every morning. Although I was greeted by music, and it wasn't lame music either! (Oh and it turns out Sarah has this shirt.) When I got to second period my teacher was at the door telling people where to sit. I sit in 5-1. Anyway I'm not quite sure I'm gonna like the teacher. (Ah heck! since you know I'm writing this 2 weeks later.. I wasn't sure if I'd like the teacher, but it turns out that he is my favorite!) So third period, Renae was waiting for me. :) Haha. I got in the door and she tackled me. Hmm. Forth period is photography. :) (Although this class is so boring, until you actually start taking pictures, I am glad to have it forth period.) This semester I have second lunch. (At first I was like dang it! But then I found out I can eat in third period, and well.. the day goes by faster with second lunch.) Today I didn't get to have lunch with Josh :( but tomorrow and the rest of the semester I will! :D I also have lunch with Nik, Sarah, Drew, Bethany (who is in my forth period), Nicole, Sophie, Kimmie, Zelda, Amy and Zack. Oh and Renae, and of course Josh. ( I was just about to type "I'm probably forgetting someone", and then I remembered. So fifth period I have with Josh, sadly it's English. I also have it with Nicole, Zack, Drew, and Max, whom I sit by. Omg! So Josh sits in the front right corner of the room, and I sit in the back left corner of the room. :( Alright, so sixth period.. omg that classroom is small and I'm not sure about the teacher (and I'm still not). I have Bethany and Zack in this class, along with James, who is in my chemistry and English class. Anyway, after school I got a text from my dad saying he couldn't pick me up, so I went to Josh's house. Perfect end to the first day of school.

So today I took the bus over to Josh's to help him with his summer reading. I looked up his vocabulary words for him. Then my mom picked me up to go get my permit. Sadly I forgot they were closed on Mondays and my mom didn't know that, so I wasn't able to get my permit. I was so mad, not just because I didn't get my permit but because I could have stayed at Josh's longer and helped him more. Oh well though.

Today was my cousin Kelly's birthday party. FIrst we went to Kohls though. I wanted this one jacket, but they didn't have it, so then I tried on a couple pairs of skinny jeans but then I couldn't decide on which color. So we were looking around and I saw a pair of shoes I really liked, so I bought them. Anyway I had a good day.

So today I bought a steering wheel cover and floor mats to match my seat covers. :) Now my car is all pretty inside.

OMG! So last night my old neighbor Dan was like "when are you gonna clean your bumper?" And so my dad was like use coke and tin foil to get the rust off. Haha. So I got up this morning, and at 8a.m. I went out with a can of coke and some aluminum foil. It worked! D: I was amazed!! It took me about an hour to do the whole bumper. Oh and tail pipes. But I was so proud of myself. xp So later Josh came over, and then my mom wanted to go to Fred Meyer, and so we went along. We took off to do our own thing, which was buy two gifts, one for my friend and one for my cousin. Then I wanted to go look at the seat covers for my car. I found a really cute one, black with blue flowers, so I bought them. And of course they had floor mats and a steering wheel cover, but I was like "no I shouldn't, I'll be good." Then when we got home and I told my dad he told me I shoulda got them. Oh well. So me and Josh spent idk how long cleaning my car. I took off the nasty old seat covers and realized I needed to vacuum my seats, so then of course I couldn't stop there. And then I wanted to wash them, cause they were still dirty feeling. Haha, so when I went to go put the new seat cover on, I was trying to put it one upside-down. My cousin Bryan and Josh got a kick out of that. Anyway me and Josh got them on, and now my car is all nice and clean inside. :D

Today I realized my shoulder has started to peel. :) I love peeling the dead skin off, but afterwards it hurts. Luckily I have aloe.

Tiger day!

Today was Tiger Day at school. AKA orientation. I got my schedule: 1st - chemistry, 2nd - pre calculus, 3rd - medical careers, 4th - photography, 5th - honors english, 6th - honors u.s. history. Then I bought my asb. Josh finally showed up, so I went with him to go get his schedule: spanish, swimming, wood shop, pre calculus, honors english (with me!!), u.s. history. (Yay! I remembered.) (Oh wow! I just remembered my schedule is in my picture! Oh well, you might not be able to read it. xp) Anyway, so we were in line to get lockers, and we were all the way in the front.. but Renae wasn't there yet so I wanted to wait for her before getting our lockers. Finally she got there, and after standing in line forever we got our lockers. :) Mine is right between Renae and Josh. And it's in like the perfect location, the only way it would get any better is if it was on the first floor. Ah! I almost forgot to mention that it's a top locker, which made me so happy! :D So anyway, after orientation, Michelle picked us up and we went to his house. We watched Fried Green Tomatoes. Then I went home and.. most likely read, and of course watched my Tuesday night TV shows.

Sun burnt, bug bitten, and glad to be home.

Josh and I were woken up at 6:40 this morning. I have to say that wasn't very pleasant, but waking up in his arms was. I could have stayed in that bed forever! ;) Anyway so Josh's mom took me home. After going back to bed, and getting a shower once I was ready to get up, I spent the rest of the day reading. I didn't enjoy the reading, but I loved the shower! Later in the evening my grandparents came over, and then I went with my mom and grandma to my great great aunt Sarah's. After we got home from that I went and watched my Monday night TV shows. Sigh. I am so tired now, I amm ready for bed! Good night.

Best day of the week by far.

I love Joshua Odin Bell!!! Today we were supposed to get up early and go inner tubing, but the adults stayed out fishing longer than they said. Eventually we went out on the boat. First Chris, then Josh, went wave boarding. I finally remembered to bring my camera with me, so I was able to get some pictures and videos. Got a nice one of Josh face planting into the water. A little later we went out again inner tubing. Chris went, and then Josh's mom went. They finally convinced me to do it, and it was alot of fun. Then Josh went and I got some more pictures and video. Got one of him flying off the inner tube! When we got back from inner tubing the adults went back out for a little bit. After they got back we ate and then started packing up. Why does the packing up process take longer than the setting up process? I just don't get it. We finally started heading out around 5, I believe. When we got home, I had Josh grab my bag out of the camper and then I was ready for bed. It was amazing being able to sleep in an actual bed, and to sleep in Josh's arms. :)

Hello readers. Today I decided to give you a picture of just me. It was a very longish day.. took a ride to this camp site place to buy ice and gas for the boat. Had to put on an actual shirt so I didn't get burnt, worse.

Thank goodness for tents, and Josh's mom.

Today the tent was put up. We set up camp and launched the boat. Well I held Maggie, but you get the point. And speaking of the boat, I feel like I'm on it right now. Ok well anyway, after all that Josh and I took a nap because we didn't get much sleep over night. Oh my was it hot inside the tent. I had taken off my shirt the during the night because it was hot trying to hide from the bugs, and at some point Josh decided to put it on. Haha, so I took his shorts. And Josh's mom let me borrow some shorts too. Mmm, she is so sweet.. she bought me girly stuff to, and thank goodness. After our nap we went out on the boat. I got quite wet from all the water that splashed up into the boat. It was fun though, and the water felt nice. When we got back we either ate or took another nap, or the other way round. (I knew I shoulda pre-wrote this as it was happening, oh well.) Anyway, when it finally came down to sleep time Chris was out like a light. And I believe it was this day that Josh decided he was well enough to kiss me again. Haha, he's so cute, anyway I have to say night two was way better than night one.

Bad timing.

So last night after I headed to bed, I started getting cramps. Guess what! That stupid little red dot that just won't leave me alone, is back. I thought I was being punished for going camping with my boyfriend instead of to my friends birthday party. (My mom didn't agree.) Gah, let me tell you.. I was already worried about that problem, and then, of all things to go wrong, Josh disappeared for 3 and a half hours. Finally he texted me back, turns out he fell asleep. I called him, I called his house, I even called his step mom. NO ONE answered. I was worried sick to my stomach, as if I didn't already feel like crap. So anyway it's going on 3, and I have to be going soon. I don't have a picture for you yet, but I will set this up to post at 11 pm.

So.. we finally left around 8pm, and didn't get to pot holes until 11 something. Oh yeah.. we didn't know we were going to pot holes. Anyway, so I was supper freaked, cause that meant one: a longer drive, and two: water. Luckily we made it there with no accidents, although we were eaten alive by mosquitoes as soon as the truck doors opened. And Josh and I had to sleep in there! Definitely not doing that again.

Complications.

This morning Josh texted me saying that they are going camping from Thursday until Sunday, and ask me if I want to go. Of course I want to go, but my friend Alex's birthday party is Friday. I know I could make something up, but I don't want her to get hurt feelings. I'm sure which ever I choose I'll have fun, but for some reason I can't decide. Josh has been talking about me going camping or boating or whatever with his mom, all summer. And Alex invited me, when I invited her to mine. I know it'd only be right to go to her party since she came to mine, but at the same time.. I feel like I won't have a chance to go camping with Josh and his mom again, for a very long while. Hmph. I was so excited when Josh's mom said I could spend part of the weekend with them, and now I feel like no matter which I choose, I'm letting someone down. :( I guess it will be up to my parents, and whether they would let me go anyway. Sigh.

Today I spent the majority of the day with my grandma and two cousins, as seen above. There isn't much else to say about that. We had pizza for lunch, then went to this one park (where this picture is taken). After that we went to Jack in the Box and got milkshakes, and then we went to this huge antique store. Haha, on the way home my grandma kept saying I didn't get to go home. Luckily I did. Josh came over, and I asked my parents if I could go camping with him. My mom said it was fine with her if it was ok with my dad. My dad pretty much said bye, see ya when you get back. Haha. (I do feel bad about missing my friends party, but my parents put it in a way that made me feel better about it. I don't know how to explain.) I don't know why I don't like asking them (mostly my dad) to do things.. they are almost always cool with it. Anyway I don't know what else to say besides I accidentally kissed Josh today. Lol, I went straight to the bathroom and washed my lips. It was funny, one of those "you had to be there" moments. Gah! I can't wait to be able to kiss him again, without worrying if I'm gonna get sick. Aaaah! This weekend is going to be so much fun. :D I'll make sure to take pictures, and I won't forget to take my 365s. (Sadly you'll have to wait to see them.) Bye for now!

Sigh. Today was a bit of a roller coaster. Josh went to urgent care, for his throat. I guess he is fine but.. idk. He told me don't worry, be happy. So how it worked, maybe it was the fact that that song was stuck in my head. Since he had mentioned it, I put on my "be happy" shirt. I was just about to dress the bottom half of my body when I get a text saying he is being held hostage at home, in case he has strep. So I stopped right there and put my pajama pants back on, took off my shirt, and put a different one on. Anyway, then he tells me that he talked to his "step mom", and he could come over as long as we didn't kiss. Oh my you have no idea how hard that was. There were a few moments that would have been absolutely (almost) perfect for a simple kiss on the lips, but instead had to be ruined by the awkwardness of exchanging kisses on the cheek. Example number one: I bought him that ring on his finger. One time when he came over he was wearing a ring, and I realized it was one of those that spins. Somehow I ended up with it one my finger, and there it stayed, so I call it mine now. Well one day when I was in Dightmans bible store, and I saw that type ring. Ever since I told myself I would buy it for him, and today I finally did. Then we went over to Ross. See, I told him I was gonna buy him 4 things, a hat, a shirt, a wallet, and a surprise (which was the ring). So first thing we look for is a wallet, couldn't find any. Then we looked at shirts, and he found ONE he liked. And earlier when we were looking for the wallets I found a bag I liked, so he said he would buy it for me. So we went up to pay and guess what I find, wallets! Haha, I found one that was exactly what he wanted. :) I felt so accomplished. Anyway, so we paid and then went outside and started walking to K&G, but I wanted to sit down and switch his stuff into his new wallet and have him put his new shirt on, so we did that. After we looked around in K&G we headed to Subway. That was the second unhappy person we had to deal with. :/ Well anyway, we still had 15 minutes or so that our bus transfer was good, so we went to the bus stop. Of course Josh couldn't wait to eat the whole way home, poor thing didn't have a chance to eat all day, but he was a good boy. ;) Mmm. Chicken Bacon Ranch, minus the ranch. I hadn't had Subway in so long, I forgot how good it was. There was a moment on the couch there that was a kiss moment, but nooo. Lol, he is so cute, he was like 'this isn't fair'. I have to agree, but I don't wanna get sick. Been there, done that. Ah! Omg, I am so excited.. (most likely) I get to spend part of the weekend with Josh, at his mom's! This is exciting for two, wait three reasons. One: no EIGHT days of not seeing him. Two: I've never been to his mom's. And three: his mom is AMAZING. :) Really, she is so sweet. I've mainly only talked to her on the phone, but I love her. Hehe. She loves me too. :) Today I talked to her, and she said she loved my pictures, and that she looks at them all the time. I felt so special. Ah! And another thing, I received a postcard from Denise today. :) She wished my happy birthday and said she would see me when she got home. That really meant alot to me too, so much that I framed it. Plus it had a pretty picture, and its one of those clear, see both sides, magnetic, stick together, rectangular, stand on it's own frames. I don't know how else to explain it. I'm just in my silly, weird, happy in my own little way, state of mind. Ok, well I'm running out of things to say so.. that's it for today. Irregular Monday.

Today I went shopping with Josh. :) Two things I love, shopping and Josh. But see normally I don't get to see him on Mondays. Sigh. His schedule got all messed up again. I don't know how I'm gonna keep it straight, I can't even explain it to you. (All I know is that there is a 6 day spree coming up that he will be at his mom's, which means I won't get to see him. :( ) Oh well, after school starts it won't matter. Anyway, back to shopping. I love and hate it. And apparently.. I forgot the word he used.. well anyway, I'm different when I shop. Haha, and I love shoes, even though I have too many that I don't even wear that often, and I really wanted a pair of black and white high tops. When it comes to shoes, you don't want to be there. It can get pretty hectic. But enough of that, who wants to know what I bought? We started on a mission to find Josh a hat, but that fell though, and I ended up with 4 shirts from Fuego, and a dress from Romy. So as you may be able to see in my picture, I have 2 shopping bags and a purse. (The purse is from my friend Ali, who forgot to bring it to my party.)

After a long stressful day and then a day of little sleep.. this is what you get. I was trying to catch up on my reading, I was 3 days behind, and I fell asleep. I think I slept for about 3 hours. Haha, I woke up with a pool of saliva on my arm. Oh well, life doesn't always go as planned. The plan was: Amanda would drop off my gift, Josh would come over, we would go to the mall, and my mom would pick us up after she got home from church. Well Amanda dropped of my gift, and Josh came over.. but somethings happened and he was really late, and so we didn't go to the mall. After he left I decided to read, and well we all know what happened next.

After effects.

Today I woke up at 8, after going to bed at 4. I had 2 friends spend the night (well 3 if you count Josh). Well lets just say sleeping in the middle wasn't my best idea. So after crawling out I went and joined Josh on the couch. It was a pretty lazy day, we hung around the house til 4 and then my mom and I took them home. We had a baby shower to go to at 5. Sigh. We didn't get home til about 8-8:30. Anyway, this is what I wore, and everything (except my shoes) is new. (And you can't see my belt.) Mmm, I love birthdays. I got so many new clothes. :) And money. Grand total was $198+ (I don't know how much one of the gift cards is worth) 9 new shirts, 5 pieces of jewelry, 2 jackets, 2 purses, 1 pair of jeans, 1 belt, 1 hat, and 1 backpack. (I got more odd ball stuff, but that's too much to list.)

Party.

Today was stressful. My auntie was supposed to come over and blow up balloons, before everyone got to my house at 5. Well that didn't happen. I started blowing some up my mouth, but started to not feel good because I hadn't eaten all day. (I was cleaning up all morning.) And then people started showing up. It was hectic. But after all was said and done, it was a pretty good party. First I gave everyone beads, and my sweet 16 picture. Then we did hand prints on my closet doors. After that people ate, and then we did a car cram. See I have a VW bug, and well my dad wanted to see how many people could be crammed inside. 16 was the count. After getting every one out, we all went inside and I opened my gifts. Haha, probably the 2 funnest to open were, the one from Beth.. which was wrapped in toilet paper. She used a whole roll of it! We ended up throwing it around the room to unwrap it. This gift was also the most embarrassing, condoms. And my mom was standing right there! Oh well. The second one was Josh's, my boyfriend. :) He bought me a 6 pound bag of gummy bears! I picked up the whole bag of stuff, and was like holy crap its heavy, and when I opened it I found out that's why. He also bought me a "Mr. Quackers Jr." who's name is Quakly, a belt that I wanted, and a pair of black extreme skinny jeans. Oh and can't forget the 4th season of Gilmore Girls! Anyway, after opening all my gifts and going around the room saying thank you, my dad wanted us to do the car cram again. (Since he wasn't there for the first one.) The second time we got 17 people. You shoulda seen it, it was amazing. Lol. Haha, actually I will post a link, later, so you can. ;) After that it was cake time. I have to say.. I think that was the most people I've ever had sing to me. Pretty amazing.

Sweet 16!

Wow, do I feel stupid. So I was trying to add the above picture, but I realized I only had a copy on the Internet.. so I opened a new tab and copied the URL, and when I came back the box was gone. So I pushed the add image button again and it didn't work! Then I realized it was its own window.
Anyway, to the real point now.
Today I turned 16. My day started with a photo shoot. It is a family tradition, in the Peterson family, for the girls to get "glamor shots" for their 16th birthday, so that's what I did.
The rest of my day was rather hectic. I had a meeting at Safe Streets, and well.. that's when it all started. Toward the end of the meeting my brother calls me, and tells me one of my friends is at my house. See tomorrow is my party, and for some reason people keep getting the day mixed up. So anyway, there was nothing I could do about it. When I got home I pretended like nothing was wrong, and after dinner I told her. Haha, she felt stupid, but hey at least I had another friend besides my cousin and my boyfriend. After all that I still needed a picture, so I put on my dress for the third time today and well.. that's what I got. :)

Intro.

Some of you may have heard of the movie called the 13th year, some may know about the 365 challenge on flickr, some just might not have a clue what I'm talking about. Well this is my 16th year.

My goal is to take a picture every day for a year, starting on my 16th birthday (which just so happens to be tomorrow). So I hope you enjoy my stories, along with my pictures, as much as I do.
